A Guide For New Creators For Youtube Videos and Channel Promotion
Three of the best ways to promote your channel and video
Youtube promotion for new creators can be a bit of a pain. Creators all over the world struggle with views and subscribers, so that makes me feel better.
But it doesn't help with the promotion element. I will go through three of the best ways to promote your channel and
get people actually watching it.
These methods have been tried and tested by myself and have helped me get views, subs, videos and even merchandise sales.
Try To Be Consistent
One of the biggest mistakes new creators make is trying to be everywhere at once.
They try everything from promoting their videos on Twitter and Facebook to sending emails out to their mailing list and even joining forums.
But this can be very confusing for viewers and will probably result in them losing interest in your channel before it even gets off the ground.
Instead, focus on one or two things at a time (maybe three if you feel really confident) and Don't try many different technical methods at the same time.
It may seem like an obvious point but trust me .
Get Inspired By Creators In Your Niche
There are some important things to keep in mind before you start creating anything.
First and foremost, YouTube is a community of creators who are constantly inspiring each other.
As you're getting started, take some time to watch some of the videos from creators in your niche.
You'll quickly see what works and what doesn't when it comes to creating engaging content for the platform.
And, if you find yourself particularly inspired by someone else's work, it
could be worth reaching out and asking for their advice on how they got started on YouTube.
Make An Amazing Thumbnail
Your thumbnail is what catches people's eyes as they scroll past videos in their feed.
So you want to make sure it stands out from the rest. Don't use boring or generic thumbnails,
Instead, think of something creative and interesting that will grab people's attention and make them click on it (or at least stop scrolling).
You can use photos or illustrations in your thumbnails. Just make sure they're relevant to the content of your video!
Create A Great Title And Description
The title of your video should be catchy and descriptive enough that people want to click on it when they see it on their feeds.
It should also tie in with what's happening in the thumbnail if possible (if you have one).
For example, if you're making a "how-to" video, having "How to do X?
This is a very useful technique because most people use this word more when searching.
Use The Right Tags
YouTube is a social platform, so it's important to use the right tags. If you're uploading a video about your favorite band.
For example, make sure you include their name in the title.
This way when people search for that band or that song, your video will appear at the top of their list.
The same goes for if you're uploading a video about a specific subject matter.
If it's about cooking Mexican food, use tags like "Mexican food" or "Mexican recipes."
These will help people find your content when they're searching for similar videos on YouTube.
Use The Right Keywords In Description
When you upload a video to YouTube it will be accompanied by a description of what's in the video and keywords that describe its content.
This is where you should include relevant keywords that are related to your topic and encourage people to click on them to view more videos on the same topic!
End Your Video With A Call-To-Action
If you’re new to YouTube, it can be tempting to think that the best way to get your channel noticed is by simply making great content.
But while this is certainly one of the most important things you can do, it isn’t enough on its own.
There are plenty of other ways to grow a successful channel – and one of them is promotion.
This can be done through paid advertising, but there are also plenty of ways to promote your videos for free.
Here are some of the best:
End Your Video With A Call-To-Action
The most important thing about promoting your video is making sure people know where they can find more content like it!
If you want people to subscribe, then tell them how they can do so at the end of every video.
This way, they’re more likely to remember when they next visit your channel and if they don’t see any suggestions in their subscription feed, they might just check out your latest upload manually instead!
Takeaway: Do not give up when getting your first Youtube promotion.
Above all else, remember that you are your own PR person. It is up to you to create unique content and post interesting content on your channel.
If you're going to rely on other users
for promotion, you might experience some success with this approach but it's a somewhat risky bet.
Either way, be sure to regularly post updates on your progress so people can see.
how your channel is maturing (or dying).
