which lasts for 14 days. This festival is celebrated in December.

The second major festival of the Kalash tribe is Chilam Josh,

which is celebrated at the end of winter and the arrival of spring.

With the announcement of this festival, the painful conditions of winter are
relieved and spring is welcomed.

Preparations for the festival begin even before the onset of spring.

During the last three days of the
festival, the Kelash gather at Bamburit and celebrate.

Dance and dinner parties are organized.

The people of Kelash celebrate their three-day festival "Chilam Joshi" with traditional fervor on the arrival of spring,

Chilam Joshi festival attracts a large number of tourists from home and abroad.

Chao Mouse is the largest festival of the Kelash tribe, which is celebrated on the eve of the New Year.

The festivities begin in the last week of December.

Most of the Kelash are associated with the Greeks, while some refer to them as the ancient inhabitants.

The women here wear black dresses adorned with oysters and pearls, while the men are usually seen dressed in shalwar kameez.

There are also amazing customs regarding marriage and birth in Kelash Valley.

The boy has to run away from the girl and take her home.

The parents of the boy inform the parents of the girl and the elders of
the village who come to the boy and confirm to the girl that no force has been done to her but she has run away of her own free will.

After that the feast is arranged. The exchange of gifts between the two
families lasts for many days.

Surprisingly, even a married woman can be chased away if she falls in love.

Declare the culture of kelash as an
international cultural heritage and the Government of Pakistan has decided to integrate it in the Federal Ministry of Education.

Tourists reach Kelash after a difficult journey of about three hours from Chitral.

Some important things to remember when going to Chitral.

On your way to Chitral, you must carry identification documents with you as there are check posts of Pakistan Army at various places,

From where you are allowed to proceed only after identification and entry.
